Sitting in class, staring off into oblivion I sits at my desk listening to Cross Fade on my CD player, doodling in a note book after a history test. My name is Krystean. I am 5’3 and weigh 125 pounds. I have bright blue eyes and brown hair. I’m in 11 grade. As I look up at the clock on the wall at the back of the class room the bell rings. I turn off my CD player and put it in my backpack along with note books. I swings my bag on my back and starts out of the class. When I exit the class I make a left and make my way to my locker. Like normal the halls aren’t really crowded.
As I start to enter my combination my friend Joe who has a class near my locker stops and talks.
“Hey what’s up?”
“ Nothing, same old crap. How ‘bout you?”, I reply.
Joe starts to make a answer but at that point one of the really hot guys who all the girls and even some of the guys like, walks by.
“ Oh, my God! He is so freaking HOT!”
“ Yeah. He is hot. But not like I will ever have a guy like that”.
“ Don’t put your self down like that. You will get a guy like that some day”.
“Only if they get their heads out of their asses long enough to notice me. And that won’t be any time soon.”
Joe can’t help but laugh.
“ What’s so funny?” I ask completely bewildered about what he is laughing at.
“This is why I love ya, people never know when you are going to speak your mind. And when you do it’s brilliant!”
“ Thanks”, I say sarcastically.
“Lets head up stars to class”.
I shut my locker and head up the blue stares that lead to the social studies complex. As we walk a strange uneasy feeling. Kind of like some thing bad is going to happen but you don’t know if it is your mind playing a trick on you or not. I just dismiss the feeling and forget about it. Joe heads to his class and so do I. When I get to the door way of my class look in and continues in. I take my normal seat, second deak from the front.
Opinion
All of my class mates float into the room all at once just barely making it into class before the tardy bell rings. I barely pay attention to what my teacher has to say. Like always I get out one of my note books and start doodling. The doodles range from jewelry designs to miscellaneous figures and shapes. Before I know class is almost over.
“ I’ll see you all on Monday. Have a good weekend!” the teacher says.
I pack up my things and head to lunch.
When I get to my normal lunch table all of the normal people I with are sitting there. Josh, Ashley, Brit, George, Amanda and Kerry. George was being his typical self in thinking of disgusting perverted thoughts and making everyone laugh their asses off.
“ Okay, what are you laughing at now George”, Krys asks all ready predicting the answer.
“ Kerry forked Josh, again!” and he starts cracking up with laughter. Now one thing you need to understand about George is that any thing that you can say he can probably turn it around and make a crude humor with it.
I just smile and take my normal seat between George and Amanda. Laughter is shared between the seven of us. Fries are thrown at George, Nerds are thrown at Josh, and even more laughter. Lunch went by and so they all had to go to class to endure homework and lectures. All parted ways except for George and I who always walk to fifth hour together. George was making one of his famous comments about me landing my in a mental institute.
“ And Zach is one of the guards, looks in on you and asks him self why did I ever date her?”, George says.
“Yeah but Tiff is there too”, I say back.
“ Why will Tiff be there?”
“ Cuz she had to live with Zach!” As soon that is said George and I start cracking up with laughter about the whole thing.
Zach is my ex-boyfriend. He is blonde, blue eyes wears glasses and is about 5’8. Tiff is his younger sister who is 5’4 dirty blonde hair and also wears glasses.
“ Will you come and visit me when I go crazy, George?” I ask him.
“ Well, duh! I’m going to bring you Japanese comics” he replies. George starts pretending to be Gollum from the Lord of the Rings. “My precious……”
Once again they both start cracking up with laughter. As they get closer to George’s class Chad comes up the says.
“Hey! George! What have I told you about being with Krys?” Chad says jokingly to George.
“Sorry”, I say to Chad, “ George can’t help himself. I’m too much for him to resist. Kind of like last night with you and George last night, but I’m not supposed to know that” .
“ O, baby! That was fun!” Chad replies jokingly.
We all start laughing . But it was cut short because I had to go my locker (down stairs) to get my book for math and go to class. The hall way was almost completely empty. I quickly opened my locker grabbed my math book and headed to the math complex. At the end of the hall way to the left of my locker.
Surprisingly my last two classes passed by really quick. It seemed like five minuets a go I had just walked into math class and started talking to Alec. Now I was in science and I only had five minutes till the bell rings and I could finally go home. As I looked at the clock time seemed to tick by so slowly. Seconds felt like minuets. Minuets left like hours. But with out time to spare the bell finally rang and I made my way to my bus.
As I hurry from that strange feeling comes back but this time its stronger and just won’t seem to go away. I quickly make my way to my bus so I can turn on my CD player and try to make the feeling go away.
I finally make it to my bus, practically running down the isle to my seat at the back. I throw my stuff in the seat and tear out my CD player turn it on and slip into my own mind. There my is perfect. The school was not full of jack-asses, I had a boyfriend who loved me to death and stupid people didn’t talk to me.
But soon the time came to get off the bus and make my way home. The feeling that some thing is wrong still hung in the pit of my stomach. It doesn’t take long for me to make me way down the street. I finally got the end of my drive way and studied the house to see if anything was wrong. Cream color siding with dark green shutters. My car, a 1993 Mercury Topaz, was sitting in the drive way along with a Geo Storm which was going to be my younger brother Bill’s car when he got his drivers license. Mom’s Jimmy and Dad’s Tahoe were gone because they were both at work. My youngest brother Ty noticed that some ting was wrong.
“Krys? Are you okay?”, he asked me.
Yeah, I’m okay. I just have a strange feeling”, I replied.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes already”.
As we walk toward the garage entrance, I just can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong. We got to the white door leading to the inside the garage. Ty opens the door and walks in, I follow slowly. Stepping in I look around and nothing is out of place. My Dad’s work bench is exactly the same, the skis were placed, as always, by the sliding door, every thing where it belongs. As I turn toward the door leading to the inside the house I almost expect to see a robber or a terrifying demon from a book in black robes that I have read about to be standing there. But there was only the stairs leading down to the house and the wooden door.
“It’s all in my head”, I whisper to my self , “It’s all in my head”.
“What’s all in your head?”
“Nothing”, I lye to my brother knowing that if I said any thing to him, he would flip out and not sleep. Ty looks at me though able to read my mind. “ I have had a weird day”.
“ Okay then. You have just been acting weird since we got off the bus”.
“ God d**n! If I say I’m fine, then I’m fine”.
“ Jeez! Don’t bite my head off cause your in a bad mood!”
“Shut up and go inside Ty”.
“ Fine!”
With that final word Ty ran inside and slammed in the door behind him. Left standing there alone I decided that I might as well go inside and apologize. Still with the faint since of uneasy ness as I processed in the house. Hoping that nothing would be wrong.
